Enterprise Mobile Printing | LRS Output Management

Enterprise Mobile Printing

Mobile Connector for VPSX® software extends the powerful document delivery, accounting, viewing, archival and pull printing capabilities of the LRS® Output Management solution to the world of enterprise mobile computing. The solution gives users two simple, yet powerful, ways to print from a mobile device:

  • Submit the print request via email from any mobile device on any OS.
Mobile users can simply email attached documents to Mobile Connector, which verifies user printing rights before delivering output to a printer. This gives organizations a simple way to manage printed output in heterogeneous BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environments.

  • Use the free “VPSX Print” App on any supported Apple® iOS® or Android® device.
This provides an easy way to bring enterprise-level print capabilities to Apple iOS or Android devices, while improving the security and management of business-critical documents. Click here to download from the App Store or click here to download from the Google Play Store.

Mobile Connector software converts each document from its original file type into a standard PDF format, and sends the document for advanced formatting and subsequent printing. LRS software provides a platform-independent central point of control that eliminates the need to define and maintain troublesome Windows® Print Servers, print queues, and printer drivers.

iBeacon Sensing Option

Using sensing technology, the iBeacon capability in the VPSX Print App can dynamically sense if there are any available, Beacon-enabled print devices nearby.

Nearby print devices are highlighted within the blue circle on the floor map (when available). If an available printer that is Beacon-capable is pulsing, users can select that printer and proceed with sending their documents for print. If a printer is not pulsating on the map, it just means that the print device has not been auto-selected by the app and the user will need to move closer to the printer.

Once the user is close enough to satisfy the security proximity distance setting, the jobs will print.
