HIMSS 2019: An ice time for a show
Around North America, healthcare IT organizations are gearing up for their biggest industry event of the year; the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference. This year’s show will take place in sunny Orlando, Florida from February 11-15th.
With hundreds of exhibitors on the show floor, attendees are hard-pressed to decide which vendor has the hottest new technology on display. But there’s rarely a debate about which booth is the coolest. This year, the folks in LRS Booth 3733 will once again challenge attendees to think more deeply about their healthcare printing environments. Our iceberg-themed display at last year’s HIMSS event was the talk of the show in Las Vegas, and this year we’ve got even bigger plans. On Tuesday, February 12th from 4:00-6:00pm, stop by Booth 3733, where LRS will be hosting a reception featuring live ice carving, an ice luge, craft beer, and appetizers. This is always a great place to network with LRS staff and other healthcare IT professionals.
On Wednesday of the show, LRS will be hosting a lunch-and-learn session on the important topic of Secure Printing in the healthcare industry. The session will be hosted by Brent Black, a printing expert with decades of experience in IT best practices. Later on Wednesday evening, LRS customers and guests are invited to unwind at a reception at the ICEBAR Orlando, just a short walk from the Convention Center. Be sure to stop by the LRS booth to pick up your tickets to the ICEBAR reception.
In addition to the main LRS booth, LRS will have a presence in the Citrix Ready Partners exhibit. There, we will be demonstrating how LRS’ Virtual Session Printer Agent (VSPA) software simplifies printing for clinicians on the go as they access critical healthcare systems via virtual desktops and applications. LRS will also demonstrate our healthcare printing solutions in HP booth 3741, including a live demo of our secure pull printing capabilities with simulated clinician roaming between the LRS and HP booths.
